About Us
Who are we?
We are the Green Queens (Cool name, I know) and we are working with Do The Green Thing to raise awareness around the issues and impact of fast fashion. We aspire to educate and inform about the current concerns in the fashion world and also provide alternatives to fast fashion to try to lower personal dependence on it.
Why do we care?
In the UK, estimates suggest that around one hundred and forty million pounds worth of clothing goes to landfills every single year (Environmental Audit Committee, 2019). And it is due to consumption like this that fast fashion has become a major contributor to global warming, with the value of clothing plummeting and the impact of fast and low-quality production rising rapidly.

So What Does Our Name Mean?
Retake - We always encourage swapping clothing with a friend and sharing styles. This not only saves you both money, but creates no further impact on climate change and the fashion industry.
Rebirth - why not give your old clothing a new lease of life? Style it into a new outfit or cut it up and craft it into something else. The options are endless; don't let your old shirts go to waste.
Resell - And finally, if you have no idea what to do with your old clothing, sell it on. We encourage the use of charity shops and second-hand clothing websites when you are in need of new clothes. So, to aid this, let's sell or donate our clothes, and never throw them away.
